Mind Out Loud’s 4th Annual FREE Online Student* Event

Students (13+) will learn practical and creative ways to share their stories and talk about mental health.

*This event is intended for students 13 or older. Guests of Mind Out Loud will be sharing their stories, which may include sensitive mental health topics such as suicide, depression, and anxiety.

Attend MOL24 for a discussion with comedian, Aparna Nancherla facilitated by Christi Somers

Aparna is an established comedian, actor, and writer who performs all over the US and the world. She’s written for Apple's Mythic Quest, as well as NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, and FX’s Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell.

  • She can currently be seen in Hulu's The Drop; Peacock’s Lopez Vs. Lopez; the final season of HBO Max’s Search Party; and Netflix’s Space Force. Aparna’s voice can be heard in many animated series, including The Great North, Bob's Burgers, and Bojack Horseman. She was a series regular on Comedy Central’s Corporate and recurred on HBO’s Crashing, among a myriad of other guest starring roles. In 2018, she made her feature debut in the Paul Feig movie, A Simple Favor.  

    Her TV stand-up appearances include half-hour specials on Netflix and Comedy Central, as well as appearances on HBO and late night. She has a forthcoming book of personal essays from Viking called Unreliable Narrator: Me, Myself and Impostor Syndrome.

Host a Mind Out Loud Watch Party

You provide the space, we’ll provide the donuts! Sign up to stream the live event on May 1st or host a watch party anytime in May for Mental Health Awareness Month. Don’t forget the donuts! Submit your receipt, and we'll reimburse you for up to $75 through May 31, 2024, while funds last!

  • The Mind Out Loud Event is FREE to attend. Simply register here and use the link sent to your email to join the live stream.

  • The Mind Out Loud event is for students (13+), educators, and adults working with youth.

  • You can see detailed instructions on hosting a watch party here.

  • Register your watch party here. At the end of May, we will send out a form requesting receipts from your donut order.

    Watch party hosts are eligible for up to $75 worth of reimbursement while supplies last.

  • You can host a watch party anytime in the month of May to qualify for donut reimbursement.

  • You will receive an event link to the email address you used to register for the event. There will allso be a “Join the Event” button on the Mind Out Loud homepage while the event is live.

  • There will be four 30-minute breakout sessions between 5:00 - 6:00 PM (PDT). Breakouts will be led by Mind Out Loud students and will focus on the four Mind out Loud Pillars of improving student mental wellness, promoting suicide prevention awareness, connecting students in rural and vulnerable communities, and increasing mental health awareness and literacy.

  • The Main Session live will be streamed live from the Wellness Together Studio from 10 - 11:15 AM (PDT). The Main Session Replay will be a streamed recording of the live event from 3:45 - 5:00 PM (PDT).
